Panel Discusses GreeneHurlocker’s Funding of $100,000 Scholarship at U of R School of Law

GreeneHurlocker is proud to have been a sponsor of the TomTom Foundation’s “From Classroom to Boardroom Race and Equity Conference” in early April 2021. The sponsorship comes on the heels of our announcement in February 2021 that we have endowed a $100,000 scholarship at the University of Richmond School of Law to promote diversity in energy and environmental law.

At the conference, Eric Hurlocker sat down with Michelle Heck, Associate Dean of Admissions at the School of Law, to discuss the impetus and philosophy behind the GreeneHurlocker Scholarship. We hope you enjoy watching this discussion, which we view as a case study for first steps in overcoming inequality and a lack of diversity in specific areas of law. Eric explains the “why” and “why now” of the firm’s decision to fund the scholarship. Together, they explore the School of Law’s diversity endeavors and accomplishments and how to ensure that programs intended to advance diversity meet their objectives.

If you have questions about this initiative or our practice areas, please contact Eric, Brian Greene, or Jared Burden.
