Thanks to everyone who joined us Tuesday for our first in a continuing series of online briefings the second Tuesday of every month at 10:00 AM for 10 minutes. I was pleased to host Sarah Vogelsong, reporter for Virginia Mercury who covers energy and the environment. Sarah paid close attention to the recent General Assembly’s work on Governor Northam’s Virginia Clean Economy Act. Just signed into law, the Act, among other things, requires utilities to transition away from fossil fuel power generation and sets deadlines for a stepped up use of renewable sources until at 100% in 2050. Sarah gave us her impression of the context of the Act and some of the expected developments that it may lead to. Watch our conversation below.

For more information about the Act or any energy or business issue, please contact one of our Virginia lawyers.
