How One Restaurateur is Getting Through the Pandemic

David Trivette of Pioneer SandwichesOn October 13 at 10 AM, GreeneHurlocker’s next installment of its 10-minute online conversations with industry leaders on vital topics will feature David Trivette of Pioneer Sandwiches, speaking with Harrisonburg partner Jared Burden.

Since 2005, David and his brother Stephen have operated as franchisees of Jimmy Johns, and now have six locations of the fast-casual food chain open in Charlottesville, where they started, and up and down the I-81 corridor. Just like all owners of small businesses, David and Stephen have had unique challenges, both as operators of restaurants and as real estate tenants, since the global pandemic first impacted the Virginia economy. The lessons David and his team have learned and some of the steps the company took may provide insight for owners of businesses that have had to stretch to weather the storm — and may have to continue to do so for some time to come.

We believe these will be among the 10 best minutes you’ll spend on October 13th.
