Alex Ashrafi is an associate in GreeneHurlocker’s Richmond, Virginia office. Before joining GreeneHurlocker, he spent several years working in private practice on merger and acquisition transactions, private securities offerings and offerings under Regulation A, corporate governance and restructuring, and a variety of other contractual and corporate matters. He is experienced in managing corporate and securities compliance and coordinating capital raises and equity/asset sales for multiple types of companies with varying operations, goals, and assets.

 

Prior to working in private practice, Alex clerked for the Honorable Maragaret Goodzeit in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, General Equity Part, where he handled primarily corporate and real estate disputes involving injunctive or other equitable relief.

 

Alex earned his B.S. from Rutgers University in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics. He later graduated cum laude from William and Mary Law School, where he served as Executive Articles Editor of the William and Mary Business Law Review. Alex is licensed in Virginia and New Jersey.

 

Before attending law school, Alex worked as both a software developer and a professional actor. He was on the varsity crew team at Rutgers University and continues to row competitively.
