GreeneHurlocker co-founder and Member Brian Greene has been elected president of the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond (Federation), the latest chapter in his long-standing involvement with the organization.

Brian has served the Federation in several leadership roles over the years, including as chair of its annual fundraising campaign, a member of the Board of Directors and, most recently, vice president. As campaign chair, he helped lead the Federation’s annual fundraising efforts in support of programs and organizations serving the Jewish community and beyond. He will serve a two-year term as president.

Since 1935, the Federation has brought together individuals, synagogues and community organizations to strengthen Jewish life in the Richmond region and support Jewish communities throughout the country and around the world. Its work includes fundraising, community planning, leadership development, education, advocacy, and outreach – all to promote a vibrant, robust and secure Jewish community for years to come.

“The Federation has been near and dear to me for a long time,” Brian said. “It does tremendously important work for the Jewish community here in Richmond and beyond, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve in this role. I’m looking forward to working with the board, staff and the broader community to help build on that work over the next two years.”

Brian’s latest chapter with the Federation continues his 20-plus years of volunteering to further Richmond’s Jewish community. Brian has served as president of Rudlin Torah Academy, Richmond’s Jewish day school, and on the Boards of the Weinstein Jewish Community Center and Jewish Family Services. He has also served on the Virginia Israel Advisory Board.
