GreeneHurlocker Welcomes Associate Simeon Brown

GreeneHurlocker, PLC is pleased to announce that Simeon Brown has joined the firm as an associate in its Richmond office.

Brown will advise clients on energy and utility regulatory matters, drawing on four years of experience in the Virginia State Corporation Commission’s Office of General Counsel. At the SCC, he advised Commission Staff on public utility matters and represented Commission divisions in regulatory proceedings involving discovery, witness preparation, briefing, oral argument, and the development of draft orders, opinions, and regulations.

His experience provides him with a strong understanding of the legal, operational, and policy considerations that shape matters before the Commission. He will support the firm’s work on behalf of utilities, renewable energy developers, competitive energy suppliers, large energy users, and other clients navigating Virginia’s changing energy landscape.

“We are very pleased to welcome Simeon to GreeneHurlocker,” said co-founding member Brian Greene. “His experience at the State Corporation Commission gives him valuable insight into the regulatory process, and his thoughtful, collaborative approach will serve our clients and our team well.”

Brown earned his law degree from Vermont Law School, where he participated in the Energy Clinic and Environmental Justice Clinic and received the Class of 2022 President’s Leadership Award. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from William & Mary, where he was a member of the varsity football team.
